
Herbal medicine practitioners, researchers, and families came together for the historic 2025 COA-RMLC (COA Research and Manufacturing Limited) Training Workshop and GAMH (Ghana Association of Medical Herbalists) Southern Zone Family Gathering, which was centred on education, innovation, and community building. The event, which took place in Accra, CLOSAG auditorium on Thursday 24th April, 2025, celebrated Ghana’s rich natural healing heritage while showcasing scientific developments in herbal medicine.
An intensive training workshop was held by the COA Research and Manufacturing Limited (COA-RMLC), a pioneer in the development and production of herbal medicines, to:
Improve Technical Proficiency: practical lessons on quality assurance, standardisation, and contemporary extraction methods for herbal products.
Encourage Sustainable Practices: Professionals talked about the ethical procurement, environmentally responsible production, and processing of medicinal plants.

Alongside the training, the Ghana Association of Medical Herbalists (GAMH) hosted its annual Southern Zone Family Gathering, fostering camaraderie among practitioners and their families. Highlights included:
