DIY: Aloe Vera oil

Ingredients

Aloe Vera

  1. Oil of Choice or a combination of more than 2 oils (coconut oil, anise oil, olive oil, argan oil, avocado oil) Steps;
  • Get your freshly harvested aloe vera, place the open part in a bowl of clean water, and let it sit overnight to remove the latex (yellow substance). Change the water twice within 3–4 hours.
  • Wash it thoroughly by daybreak and remove the spikes from the ends
  • Chop it into pieces and blend with coconut oil (or any hair oil of choice) in a smoothie consistency.
  • Pour it into a preheated pan on medium to low heat and give it a good stir every 5-7 minutes till it turns dark brown.
  • Strain the oil out using a cheesecloth, wig cap, or socks.
  • Keep and store in a dark and cool place for use.
  • Apply to the hair 3–4 times a week and massage thoroughly into the scalp.
