The Grace Presby Church in collaboration with the Medical Personnel from Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital has held a free health screening, consultation, and medications for the residents at Akropong Mampong in the Eastern Region as part of their 25th Anniversary Celebration of Grace Presby Church- Akropong, Mampong.
Residents benefit from screening for diabetes, HIV, Hypertension, ENT, breast cancer, and many more. Free consultation was also given to participants with free medications.
The occasion featured a blood donation exercise to help donate blood for the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital.
In all, about 130 residents benefited from this exercise; including all age groups and about 30 people also took part in the blood donation exercise.
Some beneficiaries in an interview with rafanews also thanked the church and Doctors present and the whole stakeholders for this great service
Senior Medical Doctor, Dr. Dzifa Kpesenu who was present at the occasion also took the opportunity to advocate healthy living habits and cautioned people over bad living lifestyle which is attributing to the high incidence of diabetes, hypertension, and strokes
The Resident Minister of Grace Presby Church speaking with Rafanews explained; the benefits of health and the relevance of screening of diseases. He stated, “health is wealth”.
He added; aside from giving spiritual nourishment, there is a need for people to also seek physical health and wellness.
Minister Nathaniel Kingsley Entsie, Resident Minister Of Grace Presby Church expressed his profound gratitude to all stakeholders for making this project a success including the medical officers of Tetteh Quarshie Hospital.
He added, many of these projects are expected to take place by the end of the year.
