Functions

Dosage
Decoction: 30g dried bark in 900ml water; simmer until reduced to 600ml; 1 teacup three times daily.
Infusion: 30g of dried bark in 600ml of water; 1 teacup three times daily
Contraindication
High doses may cause weak limbs, reduced locomotor activity and severe hypothermia. Potential abortifacient.

Small to medium sized perennial tropical tree, up to 12 m high at maturity, with drooping branches; stem brittle with a corky bark.
